Town of Grover 2020 Road Construction/Bridge Projects will begin on Wednesday, May 20th as follows:
    Tower Hill Rd Bridge Replacement:
The Tower Hill Bridge on Tower Hill Road going over the Little Peshtigo River near Townline Rd will be closed with a “Bridge Out” status starting this Wednesday, May 20th. The bridge replacement is expected to be complete by mid July if the project stays on schedule. Tower Hill Rd will be closed for the duration of this project from Townline Rd to Wiedemier Ln. This project has been in the planning stage since 2017.
Townline Rd - Phase 3 (Tower Hill Rd to 64):
Phase 3, the final phase of the 3 year joint Townline Rd project with the Town of Pound, will begin Wednesday, May 20th with the addition of gravel to the widened road base. This will be followed by pulverization, and additional base work prior to the road being paved with hot mix asphalt. If all goes as planned this project will be completed by the end of July.
Leslie Rd - Raby Ln - Kushman Ln:
Leslie Rd, Raby Ln, and Kushman Ln will have base work prep as needed and a double chip seal application applied. This project will likely begin in late July or early August. These roads may be intermittently restricted for travel when the work is being done.
Behnke School Rd (Cty M to Murach Rd):
Behnke School Rd in this section will have two culverts replaced as they are failing, followed by a wedge and chip seal application and updated shouldering. This will likely begin in late July or early August.
    Payne School Rd:
Payne School Rd, from Behnke School Rd to the east for 1.07 miles toward Cty W, will have three culverts replaced, and one culvert modified in preparation for re-construction in the 2021 road construction season. One of the culverts on this stretch of roadway is 20’ deep under the road surface, and 60’ wide. This project will be done sometime in late June or early July and a two day road closure is expected.
Please use this information to plan your travels. As always, watch for signs/cones/trucks indicating construction, road work, or travel advisories and follow accordingly. This will help the projects to stay on schedule and keep the workers safe.
