NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 10 ZONING ORDINANCE
TOWN OF GROVER CODE OF ORDINANCES
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Town of Grover Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on amendments to CHAPTER 10 ZONING ORDINANCE of the TOWN OF GROVER CODE OF ORDINANCES.
The public hearing will be held on Monday June 7, 2010 at 6:00 PM at the Grover Town Hall W5161 Town Hall Road, Peshtigo, Wisconsin, 54157.
The proposed amendment to CHAPTER 10 ZONING ORDINANCE of the TOWN OF GROVER CODE OF ORDINANCES includes:
1. Text Amendment to add Section 10.0314 HCO USH 41 - Highway Corridor Overlay District
The Town of Grover Code of Ordinances including Chapter 10 entitled Zoning Ordinance was created under the authority granted by Wis. Stats. 60.10 (2) (c), 60.10 (2) (h), 60.62, 61.35, 62.23 and 62.23 (7). Chapter 10 of the Code of Ordinances entitled Town of Grover Zoning Ordinance contains two distinct but inseparable and integrated parts: written text and zoning maps. The written text and zoning maps taken together constitute the Ordinance and, therefore, shall at all times be considered as interrelated and inseparable parts of a whole. The purpose of the Town of Grover Zoning Ordinance is to promote and protect public health, safety, aesthetics, and other aspects of the general welfare and to implement the Town’s comprehensive land use plan.
It is the general intent of the Zoning Ordinance to regulate and restrict the use of all structures, lands and water; regulate and restrict lot coverage, population distribution and density; and regulate and restrict the size and location of all structures so as: to lessen congestion in the streets; to secure safety from fire, panic and other dangers; to promote and to protect the public health, safety, comfort, convenience and general welfare; to provide adequate light, air, including access to sunlight for solar collectors and to wind for wind energy systems, and open space; to maintain the aesthetic appearances and scenic values of the town; to prevent the overcrowding of land; to avoid undue concentration of population; to facilitate the adequate provision of transportation, water, sewerage, schools, parks and other public requirements; and to foster more rational relationships between residential, business, commercial and recreational uses for the mutual benefit of all.

The Town of Grover Planning Commission will meet immediately following the hearing to discuss and possibly act on the approval or denial recommendation to the town board.
The Grover Town Board will meet immediately following the Planning Commission meeting to discuss and possibly act on the approval or denial of this zoning ordinance change.
