September 12, 2011 Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 5:00pm by Chairman Wayne Staidl. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Vern Cramer, Eugene Bancroft, Buzz Davis, and Dave Zahn-Peshtigo Times.
Motion to approve the agenda by Hoffman, second by Staidl. Carried
Motion to approve 8/8/11 and 8/16/11 minutes by Hoffman, second by Staidl. Carried
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Hoffman, second by Staidl. Carried
Public Comment:
Communications: Department of Administration population estimate, Maroco landfill fee increase, landfill testing report, fall WTA budget workshop flyer, Alliance for Regulatory Coordination commendation on fire safety
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: Work will be starting on the budget.
Supervisor I: Kim sent an email to the clerk/treasurer and raised concerns regarding which side of the road the no parking signs would go on at the boat landing.
Supervisor II: New tires were put on the rear of the brush cutter. The riding mower steering was fixed under the warranty. The county will fix the bumps on East County Line Rd.
Chairperson: Wayne may be appointed to the TRIP-D program panel. Wayne and Wayne attended a meeting with the Town of Peshtigo and Marinette County regarding Timberland Way and the access road from Eagle Express to Timberland Way.
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: Complaints were received regarding the garbage truck picking up recycling before the recycling truck comes through.
Zoning Administrator: 1 new home permit, 2 building permits, 1 driveway permit, 1 fire number and 1 variance request were received. A call was received from Joker Fireworks regarding selling fireworks.
Road Crew: Some signs need to be straightened. Drees Lane sign is missing.
Proposals for snowplowing were received from Scott Anderson Construction Inc. and Cramer Excavating & Hauling Inc. Motion by Hoffman to award the contract to Cramer Excavating & Hauling for snowplowing/sanding for 2011-2013 adding wording to the contract that cul-de-sacs need to be plowed clean, second by Staidl. Carried.
Motion by Staidl to approve all of the town board and clerk/treasurer to attend WTA convention in October, second by Hoffman. Carried
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to approve the town board attend the WTA county unit meeting 9/15. Carried
Next meeting 10/10 6pm
Motion to approve vouchers 11448-11474 and Decker Supply and Cramer Excavating by Staidl, second by Hoffman. Carried
Motion to adjourn at 6:05pm by Hoffman, second by Staidl. Carried
