October 11, 2011 Minutes
The meeting was called to order at the Grover Town Hall by Chairman Wayne Staidl at 6:00pm. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Sally Witak, Buzz Davis, Gordon Klimek, Brian Stujenske, Eugene Bancroft, Shirley Prudhomme-Peshtigo Times.
Motion to approve the agenda by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried
Motion to approve 9/12/11 minutes by Hoffman, second by Staidl. Carried
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried
Communications: Census letter, shared revenue will be received 11/21, Coleman Rescue meeting is 10/19 at 7pm, MI Tech going to be working on utilities in the town
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: None
Supervisor I: Some trailers were being hauled in on Carlson Lane-Kim is working with the owner.
Supervisor II: The roads are blacktopped and shouldering is complete on Prestine Road. Cramer will put some gravel in spots where shoulders are really eroded in the road.
Chairperson:
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: Complaints were received about the garbage haulers breaking bins.
Zoning Administrator: 5 building permits and 1 driveway permit were issued. Excessive vehicle complaint on the corner of Behnke School Rd and Payne School Rd.
Road Crew: There are vandals again taking road signs. Lots of tires have been found in the ditches recently. Track Lane has a lot of issues for a fairly new road. Eugene will be finished cutting grass tomorrow.
Motion by Kittredge to post a sign at all town buildings that says “No Weapons Allowed Inside This Building” second by Hoffman. Carried
Staidl made a motion to send the fireworks ordinance issue to the plan commission for consideration, second by Kittredge. Carried
Motion by Hoffman, second by Staidl to put the no parking on this side of road signs on the west side at the boat landing rather than the east side, south of the culvert. Carried
Motion to run an ad for 1 week looking for someone with HR or attorney/judge experience for a hearing officer and contact neighboring towns regarding who they are appointing by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried
Motion by Kittredge to contact the property owner, speak with the Village of Coleman and the town attorney regarding starting the process to condemn the Blue Ribbon Casino, second by Hoffman. Carried
Motion to approve assessor contract with Tennessen Appraisal for 2012 by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to have Marinette County collect taxes. Carried
Motion to approve operator’s licenses for Heather Jo Baumler, Rochelle LaRue, and Marcus Cochran by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried
Motion by Kittredge, second by Staidl for Wayne Hoffman to attend the Coleman Rescue Squad meeting 10/19 at 7pm. Carried
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to allow the chief election inspectors to attend Wisline training on elections. Carried
Next meeting 11/8 6pm Budget hearing 11/8 7pm
Motion to approve vouchers 11475-11507 plus Decker Supply and additional mileage to Buzz by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried
The board worked on the 2012 budget.
Motion by Kittredge to adjourn at 8:00pm, second by Hoffman. Carried
