Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 6:05pm by Chairman Wayne Staidl at the Grover Town Hall. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Gordon Klimek, Leonard Lemke, Karl Stibbe, Buzz Davis, Estella Boehm, Lud Richter, Naomi Dumke, Vern Cramer, Eugene Bancroft, Jack Clark, Ed Kasal, Eugene Frank, Larry Sidman (Jones Sign) and Shirley Prudhomme (Peshtigo Times).
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the agenda. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried.
Public Comment:
Eugene Bancroft said there are people rolling stones in the ditches which is hard on the brush cutter.
Buzz Davis noted there may be a lead on who is knocking over signs-it was reported to the sheriff’s department. Lots of signs have been straightened in the town.
Gordon Klimek noted the culvert at harmony fire station needs to be cleaned out.
Communications: A letter was received on what property was added to MFL land, the October General Transportation Aid was received, voting machine maintenance report, wetland guide, a thank you from Marinette Meteors 4-H, Olson Electric is filling out the paperwork for the light replacement rebate, a letter from WPS was received on rates, core samples for the road were received, and a letter from Scheflow Engineers.
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: SVRS may need to be done locally, Lisa will attend training.
Supervisor I: Kim took the lights off the cemetery sign and stored them at the hall. Poplar Ridge Lane is not 100% complete yet but will notify landowners of when to start using the name. There was an article in the towns association magazine concerning charging per fire for each resident-will be put on future agenda.
Supervisor II: Wayne Hoffman will be moving the fuel barrel from Jack’s to his house for now.
Chairman: Wayne attended a working lands initiative session at convention.
Zoning Administrator: There were 7 building permits, 2 new home permits, 2 on premise sign permit, and 4 driveway permits last month.
Unfinished Business: There will need to be another public hearing held on the off premise sign issue.
Motion by Wayne Staidl, second by Wayne Hoffman to approve the assessor contract for 2010. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the snowplowing contract with Cramer Excavating. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to raise election inspector wages to $8.00/hour and chief inspectors to $10/hour. Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to raise road patcher wages to $10.25/hour and brush cutter operator to $11.25/hour. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve operator licenses for Christine Heinz, Amanda Fonder, and Melissa Yoder. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman for Lisa to attend SVRS training 12/2 and 12/3. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve vouchers 10756-10792. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Staidl to adjourn at 7:45pm. Carried.
