May 11, 2010 Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm at the Grover Town Hall by Chairman Wayne Staidl. In attendance were Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Gordon Klimek, Karl Stibbe, Ed Kasal, Steve Bruso, Connie Bruso, Buzz Davis, Vern Cramer, Naomi Dumke, Shirley Prudhomme-Peshtigo Times.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the agenda. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve 4/13 minutes. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried.
Public Comment:
Karl Stibbe asked about the billboard ordinance.
Communications:
DNR recycling grant award letter, Letter from Public Service Commission regarding biomass plant, Focus on Energy received, Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission letter, Thank you from County Line Little League
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: Working with sheriff department on paying sign informant. Tentative Open Book 7/6 and Board of Review 7/27.
Supervisor I: Resident of Poplar Ridge Lane called to ask about road sign and Town of Peshtigo is putting up the signs. Lights back up at the cemetery.
Supervisor II: Rear tire on brush cutter was fixed. Front tires were changed to the opposite sides. Culverts are not in yet.
Chairperson: Complaint received that new culvert on Behnke School Road should be lower to drain water better. Apple tree close to mailbox is hitting mirrors on tractors and needs to be looked at.
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: Grant report was turned into DNR in April.
Zoning Administrator: 6 building permits, 2 new home permits issued in April. We should set a plan to inventory road signs.
Constable: No report
Road Crew: Trees were down on County Line Road and were taken care of. Lots of patching has been done, more to go. Mower needed a new battery. Some roads have low shoulders that need to be repaired.
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to appoint Jeff Fischer as a member of the zoning board of appeals and Buzz Davis as an alternate. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to postpone action on school bus turnaround until next month when more information is received. Carried.
Hearing date for Hwy 41 overlay: June 7, 2010 at 6pm
Next meeting June 8, 2010 6pm Board of Review adjournment meeting May 25 7:30am
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve vouchers 10960-10992 and Decker Supply, Marinette County Highway Commission, and Grover/Porterfield Fire Dept. Carried.
Motion to adjourn at 7:00pm by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried.
