June 8, 2010 Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Wayne Staidl at the Grover Town Hall. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Shirley Prudhomme-Peshtigo Times, Buzz Davis, Barb Hoffman, Vern Cramer, Naomi Dumke, Amos Fairchild, Lud Richter, Eugene Bancroft, and Jerry Sauve.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the agenda. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve minutes from 5/11 & 5/25. Carried.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Kittredge to approve the treasurer’s minutes. Carried.
Public Comment: Jerry Sauve introduced himself-he is running for Marinette County Sheriff.
Communications: WPS street lighting price increase, Harmony Cemetery thank you, Emergency Rescue Squad thank you, Command Central 2011 Budget info, Enterprise Engineering information
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: none
Supervisor I: inquiry concerning Cramer’s pit was received
Supervisor II: Fuel was put in the tank for the brush cutter, cutting starts soon
Chairman: It is time to start cutting grass
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: There was an email from the DNR asking why we are not meeting our goal for recycling. Some people were complaining the garbage truck was picking up recycling-Lisa has spoken to G&S regarding this issue.
Zoning Administrator: 1 fire number, 3 new home permits, and 3 building permits were issued
Road Crew: Buzz suggested a sign be put out advertising Little River Park, Buzz and Amos fixed the bridge at Little River Park, the steering in the riding mower is shot, and one push mower is broken
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to appoint Tom Kuchta and Ryan Staidl as alternate board of review members. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to have Hoffman look at lawnmowers and to authorize him to buy one at up to $4000. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to approve liquor licenses for Biundo’s, Northpoint, Eagle Express, Vernon Hills Golf Club, and Monnette’s Corner Café. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the operator’s licenses presented. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to have Kim Kittredge and Wayne Hoffman attend the WTA unit meeting in Wausaukee 6/17. Carried.
Next meeting 7/12 6pm
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to approve vouchers and Decker Supply-note check #11001 for cash is for the sign reward. Carried.
There will be a joint meeting with the fire department and town of Porterfield 6/28 at Harmony Fire Station at 7pm
Road bid meeting is 6/29 at 5:30pm
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to adjourn at 7:15pm. Carried.
