June 8, 2009

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Wayne Staidl at 6:00pm at the Grover Town Hall. In attendance were Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Shirley Prudhomme-Peshtigo Times, Jack Clark, Eugene Bancroft, Vern Cramer, Naomi Dumke, Lud Richter, Joe Bauer, Scott Anderson, and Gordon Klimek.

Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the agenda. Carried.

Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the minutes from 5/11, 5/18, 5/19, and 6/1/09. Carried.

Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried.

Public Comment:
Jack Clark commented that the part of the Little River Park across the bridge looked a little ragged.
Joe Bauer wanted to know how land can be changed from agriculture to recreation.

Correspondence: Thank you letters were received from the Menominee Animal Shelter and Harmony Cemetery Association, a letter from Corey Kuchta about the tires he removed from the ditch, and a letter from the Department of Commerce about approvals for Franks new building.

Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: Open Book will be 7/7/09 and Board of Review date will be determined.
Supervisor I: None
Supervisor II: George Sokol called and told Wayne that the culvert through his yard is holding up water. It will be dug out some. There are culverts on Schroeder Lane not draining correctly. The borings on County Line Road show a good road base.
Chairman: Wayne received a call that the bus turnaround on Schroeder Lane needs to be graded.
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: None
Zoning Administrator: There were 2 driveway permits, 5 building permits, and 8 fire sign permits. Kim put in arrow signs and added fire number signs to River Run Road. She is cracking down on people with more than 2 unlicensed vehicles in their yard.
Constable: None

The front end went out on the lawnmower and a new tyrod and spindle along with bushings had to be put in.

Proposals were received regarding snowplowing and will be looked over before a decision is made.

Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to approve liquor licenses for Eagle Express, Vernon Hills, Biundos, Steel Mill, and Northpoint. Carried.

Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to approve the operator licenses presented. Carried.

Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge for Witak to attend the WTA district meeting 6/18 if possible. Carried.

Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge for Witak to attend the Municipal Clerk Institute in July. Carried.

The next regular meeting is 7/13/09 and the billboard hearing is 6/23/09.

Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to approve vouchers 10608-10630 and Corey Kuchta, UWGB, and Decker Supply. Carried.

Motion to adjourn at 7:30pm by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried.
