Minutes
January 20, 2010
The meeting was called to order at the Grover Town Hall by Chairman Wayne Staidl at 6:00pm. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Dave Thibodeau-Peshtigo Times, Gordon Klimek, Carlton Warnecke, Lud Richter, Buzz Davis, Vern Cramer, Naomi Dumke, and Ed Kasal.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Staidl to approve the agenda. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Staidl to approve the minutes from 12/14. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried.
Public Comment:
Dave Thibodeau noted that old 41 was very dangerous but the signs make it a little safer.
Ed Kasal said people are still taking signs-took his business sign off Townline Road.
Correspondence:
Email from Attorney Coggins that case against fire department is dismissed, Christmas cards, Timber sale payment, logging permits, General transportation aids letter, Cougar Country Business Association newsletter, Census letter regarding snowbirds, and letter from the DA on sign case.
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: There is an election in April, no primary in February. The billboard ordinance is in process-email has been sent to Bay lakes Planning. There is a big bump on Townline Road that needs to be filled or signed.
Supervisor I: Kim inquired about the fire department ordering air bottles for the truck. Gordon Klimek said they are ordered.
Supervisor II: More signs are missing. The application for TRIP funds for Track Lane was sent in.
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: 805 garbage letters went out with over 20,930 stickers.
Zoning Administrator: 1 new home permit was issued.
Road Crew: Buzz will put up new Drees Road and Drees Lane signs.
Nothing was found in minutes since 1995 regarding not allowing burials in the town cemetery. The WTA said we need a map and a plan on what would happen if remains are found. No action will be taken until the cemetery is mapped and figured out.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the Centurylink agreement for 2010-2011. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to approve the memorandum of understanding for SVRS service with Town of Peshtigo for 2010. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve Olson quote for electrical improvements in the fire department and office and to go ahead with the work. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to approve resolution 2010-01 opposing countywide assessment. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to approve the Coleman Rescue Squad contract. Carried.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Kittredge to approve operator’s licenses for Heather McVeigh, Aaron Bruce, Krystal Mayland, and Roger Kamin. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge for all board members to attend the WTA district meeting. Carried.
Next meeting February 9, 2010 6pm
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve vouchers 10826-10865 plus the post office, garbage charge, and office supplies. Carried.
Motion to adjourn at 7:15pm by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried.
