January 19, 2009 minutes

The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Wayne Staidl. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Bob England, Supervisor Jack Clark, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Jerry Vanderputten, Lud Richter, Estelle Boehm, Monica Halverson, Vern Cramer, Naomi Dumke, Kim Kittredge, and Shirley Prudhomme-Peshtigo Times.

Motion to approve the agenda by England, second by Clark. Carried.

Motion by Clark, second by England to approve minutes from December 8, 2008. Carried.

Motion by England, second by Clark to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried.

Public Comment:
Monica Halverson asked about the judge and if citations have been issued.
Kim Kittredge reported that she has been trying to contact the owner of the burnt down house that is an eyesore.

Communications:
A letter was received from Attorney Coggins that Mr. Gayon didn’t need a variance. A Christmas card was received from Northern Lake Service, new Peshtigo National Bank cd rate notice, general transportation aids letter, and fire sign/road info public hearing notice from the county. Wayne received 2 logging permits and the maps from the state for turning over the old highway to the town.

Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: There is a primary 2/17/09 where we will use one voting machine.
Supervisor I: Bob received a call that people were going across the ditch from old 41-Vernon Hills Drive-by Kamm Road. He put up a barrier.
Supervisor II: Jack heard a lot of thank yous for the cemetery sign.
Chairperson: Some snowplowing calls were received. At the WTA meeting in Wausaukee there were a lot of negative comments about the county doing the fire sign assignments.
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: Stickers and letters were sent out.
Zoning Administrator: 1 building permit issued and the 2008 permits were sent to the assessor.

Motion by Staidl, second by England to approve resolution 2009-01 (LOSA). Carried.

Motion by England, second by Clark to approve haulers permits for G&S Refuse and Waste Management. GAD sent a letter that they no longer have service in Grover. Carried.

Motion by Clark, second by England to pay the garbage fee for parcels 014-00061.001 and 014-00345.001 due to no residences. Carried.

Motion by Staidl, second by England to accept the jurisdictional agreement with the DOT. Carried.

Motion by Staidl, second by England to have England and Clark build a locked cabinet for the grader shed and allow purchase of materials and locks. Also, Clark is to take the empty barrels to County Line Implement or Beaver Machine. Carried.

Motion by Staidl, second by Clark for the board and clerk/treasurer to attend the WTA district meeting in Shawano 2/12/09. Carried.

Next meeting is 2/9/09 at 6 pm

Motion by England, second by Clark to approve vouchers 10413-10452 and pay Decker Supply and Lemke heating. Carried.

Motion by Clark, second by England to adjourn at 7:30pm. Carried.
