December 14, 2009 minutes
The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Chairman Wayne Staidl. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Gordon Klimek, Lud Richter, Jack Clark, Naomi Dumke, Vern Cramer, Estelle Boehm, Karl Stibbe, Buzz Davis, Bailey Gabriel, and Matt Stebelton.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the agenda. Carried.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Kittredge to approve the November 9 minutes. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried.
Public Comment: Karl Stibbe asked who plows old 41 (Vernon Hills Dr) right now and it is still owned by the state at this time. Gordon Klimek asked if some sand can be put on the roads by Cramer when water gets on them during fire calls.
Correspondence: Summons for fire department suit, shared revenue notice, election notice for 04/10, Cougar Country Business Association fundraiser, WPS rebate information, library money request, information on programs through UW-Extension, manufacturing assessment, logging permits, and road ratings for 2009.
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: Thank you to Gordon Klimek for the roof over the posting box at Harmony Fire Station. Lisa attended SVRS training. The post office requested the address on the roads that the names changed (Poplar Ridge Ln and Timberland Way)
Supervisor I: Gordon Klimek found the County W sign on Red School Rd. Kim notified the county.
Supervisor II: Town Hall Rd and Behnke School Rd culverts are put in.
Chairperson: Snowplowing went pretty good with a few complaints, the route will be changed a little.
Garbage/Recycling Coordinator: Letters are being worked on and will go out in the beginning of January.
Zoning Administrator: There was 1 driveway permit this month.
Road Crew: There are still signs being knocked over and broken.
More research is being done on the cemetery.
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to approve the 2010 budget. Carried.
Motion to approve the G&S Refuse contract with talking to them about 2 stipulations of putting tags on stuff not picked up and keeping track of addresses that continuously have problems and to close bins when driving from one place to another so things aren’t flying out by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve appointment of Joan Carlson, Lori Bushmaker, Marie Clark, Jack Clark, Doris Seefeldt, Donna Swanson, Ann Lemke, Ellen Liptak, Estelle Boehm, Ann Mech, Sally Witak, and Buzz Davis as election inspectors for 2010-2011. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman that Staidl and Hoffman meet with the county highway department regarding the TRIP program and if anyone can attend the district WTA meeting in Wausaukee 12/17. Carried.
Next meeting 1/18/10 6pm
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve vouchers 10789-10825 plus Cramer Excavating, Leo Krivickas, Buzz Davis, and Road King Excavating. Carried.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Kittredge to adjourn at 7:05pm. Carried.
