August 8, 2011 Minutes
The meeting was called to order at the Grover Town Hall at 6:00pm by Chairman Wayne Staidl. In attendance were: Chairman Wayne Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Tom Mandli, Gail Mandli, Dale Malke, Betty Malke, Carleton Warnecke, Lieutenant Jim Albright, Eugene Bancroft, Rick Prusak, Kathy Prusak, Karl Stibbe, Brad Wyss, Buzz Davis, and Shirley Prudhomme-Peshtigo Times.
Motion by Kim Kittredge, second by Wayne Hoffman to approve the agenda. Carried
Motion by Wayne Hoffman, second by Kim Kittredge to approve the 7/11/11 minutes. Carried
Motion by Kim Kittredge, second by Wayne Hoffman to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried
Public Comment:
Karl Stibbe reported there’s a hole that needs patching in Stibbe Lane.
Correspondence: AROW letter, MFL land letter, shared revenue letter
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: The GAB visited during the election to look at handicap accessibility. Lisa reported on the UWGB Clerk Institute she attended in July.
Supervisor I: The average cost is $30 for a stop sign and then additional costs for posts, screws, etc.
Supervisor II: The steering went out on the riding lawnmower. The bumps on East County Line Road need to be fixed.
Chairperson: A letter regarding the boat landing was received from residents and the sheriff’s department.
Zoning Administrator: 3 building permits and 2 fire numbers were issued.
Road Crew: 10 signs were flattened, destroyed, or stolen over the last weekend. The new tree trimmer works well. A piece of metal was sticking up on Radtke Lane and was covered with asphalt.
Motion by Kim Kittredge, second by Wayne Hoffman to charge any parcel with improvement value over $4000 for garbage. Carried
Many boat landing problem remedies will be looked into including: a stop sign on Bridge Road at Gross Lane and Homestead Road, guardrails on the side by the dropoff, slower speed limit on the boat landing road, and no parking on this side of road signs.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to interview Sue Lemke, Becky Charapata, Deb Walters, Jayme Starr, and Faye Tress from the 10 custodian applications. Carried
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman to purchase 5 stop signs from the Marinette County highway shop. Carried
Next meeting 9/12/11 5pm
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve vouchers 11416-11447. Carried
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to adjourn at 7:10pm. Carried
