Minutes
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Wayne Staidl at 6:00pm. In attendance were Chairman Staidl, Supervisor Kim Kittredge, Supervisor Wayne Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer Lisa Witak, Buzz Davis, Jack Clark, Estelle Boehm, and Dave Thibodeau-Peshtigo Times.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the agenda. Carried.
Motion to approve 7/13 and 8/4 minutes with clarification to black bridge sign to say no loitering & no articles on the bridge by Kittredge, second by Hoffman. Carried.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to approve the treasurer’s report. Carried.
Public Comment:
Buzz Davis said Lepinsky Lane is breaking up and may need a grader patch as well as Homestead Road. He put a new plank in the bridge at Little River Park.
Jack Clark said the cemetery sign should be varnished-he will do it. He noted something needs to be put up for safety on old highway 41-future Vernon Hills Drive.
Buzz Davis noted the cemetery fence is beautiful.
Communications:
Maroco fees are going up, Extension sent a letter on future wislines, letter from Attorney Coggins regarding the fire truck accident.
Officer Reports:
Clerk/Treasurer: Lisa attended the Clerk Institute in July and learned a lot concerning different topics such as minutes, open records, etc.
Supervisor I: Kim is working on getting a sign for the black bridge.
Supervisor II: The bump on Red School road is leveled out. The county will be putting in a couple culverts. Wayne ordered some parts for the brush cutter. Howard said some light switches in the town hall are worn out and need replacing.
Chairman: Wayne is working with the county and DNR about bridge aid for culverts on Track Lane. The wells were tested last week.
Zoning Administrator: There was 1 rezone request, 2 variance requests, 4 building permits, and 2 fire number signs last month.
Motion by Kittredge, second by Hoffman to charge $5/day plus mileage per dog held by the constable to be paid before the dog can be picked up. Carried.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Kittredge to allow the fire department to borrow money for a new equipment truck. Carried.
Motion by Staidl, second by Hoffman for the board and clerk to attend town convention in Stevens Point in October. Carried.
Next meeting 9/14 6pm
Motion by Staidl, second by Kittredge to approve vouchers 10676-10701. Carried.
Motion by Hoffman, second by Kittredge to adjourn at 7:10pm. Carried.
